Our readers have read and logged an incredible 1, minutes in Beanstack in Summer 2024!

Early Literacy, Ages 0-5: 179,140minutes
Children, Ages 6-12: 464,113 minutes
Teens, Ages 13-17: 223,049 minutes
Adults, Ages 18+: 1,067,517 minutes

Summer Learning Incentives

YOUTH (Ages 0 - 12)

Earn four reading badges within a month to snag a rubber duck and keep the momentum up to gather the whole set.

Youth can also complete the Beanstack Challenge to receive a free book!

TEENS (Ages 13 - 17)

Complete four reading badges within a month to get your summer adventure journal!

Keep going all summer and select from more prizes.

Finish the Beanstack Challenge to join a library pizza party and receive a chance to win a Nintendo Switch.

ADULTS (Ages 18+)

Earn four reading badges in a month to claim a ceramic mug or adventure luggage tag.

Stay engaged in the challenge throughout the summer for a chance to win additional surprise prizes from your library!

Log your reading minutes to earn badges and rewards throughout the summer.

Creating a Beanstack account is easy!

Visit scgov.beanstack.org
Scroll down to Create an Account.
Select Register an Individual or Family.
Follow the prompts to create an account and add more readers.

Log reading on the site or in the Beanstack app!

On the Beanstack website, click Log Reading and submit your minutes.
On the Beanstack app, tap the + plus sign and submit your minutes.

Reading with the Rays

Readers in grades pre-k through 12 can read books this summer to earn free tickets to a Tampa Bay Rays game!

Pickup your game card at a library or download the game card now from RaysBaseball.com/Reading website.

How to play the game

The rules of the game are simple. Choose your favorite books from your local library or your favorite section of the Tampa Bay Times to read over the summer. As you read, track your hours by rounding the bases and collect Rays prizes along the way.

When you read enough hours to get on first base, ask your parent or guardian to initial your card and bring it to your local library. The librarian will sign your card and give you a reading reward. Round the bases by reading a total of 24 hours this summer and receive two (2) tickets to a Tampa Bay Rays home game!
