July 25 | 11 a.m. | Build a Band
Calling all music and band enthusiasts! Join us as we rock out with some of our favorite instruments and put together the library’s first band. No previous experience required! All instruments will be provided. Recommended for ages 8 and up.

June 27 | 10:30 a.m. | Bilingual Children’s Concert with Evan and Vanessa
Join Evan and Vanessa as they bring all of the fun of their podcast to the library with fun sing-along songs, engaging stories, interactive sound games and much more! Evan and Vanessa are bilingual children's and family musicians, as well as hosts of the Spanish learning podcast for children, "Eat Your Spanish!"

July 2 | 3 p.m. | A Musical Journey through Florida with Chris Kahl
Chris Kahl takes audiences on a historical journey through the state, featuring performances of songs covering a wealth of historical events, characters, and folklore with in-depth storytelling about Ponce de Leon's voyage to Florida in 1513, Henry Flagler's building of Florida's East Coast Railroad, and more.

July 22 | 3 p.m. | The Garbage Men
Learn about sustainability, recycling, and creativity with the music of The Garbage Men and their amazing DIY recycled instruments. Registration required.

August 6 | 10:30 a.m. | Preschool Music with Dave Moran
Join us for a special musical performance for our littlest patrons and their families with guitarist Dave Moran, who will sing classic preschool songs. Registration opens Jul 6.

July 3 | 2 p.m. | Fourth of July Concert - EJ Ray Acoustic
Join us for music by E.J. Ray Acoustic. This husband and wife pair combines six and 12 string acoustic and electric guitars to back the excellent female and male voices in this duet. With roots in classic rock and acoustics, this duo is bound to entertain. Registration required.

A 100 year journey back through time that offers a fresh perspective through song, story, and history to learn about the music of America's black musical giants. Hear Scott Joplin during the birth of Ragtime, dance to The Charleston in the 1920's, play air guitar with Chuck Berry and sing along with the Supremes in the 1960's in the motor city.

• July 10 | Kevin Celebi and The Harmonic Sanity Septet
  Kevin Celebi is one of the region’s most renowned jazz trumpet players and arrangers. Join us as Kevin brings us six of his best jazz musicians and unique original arrangements for an evening of “The Rich Layers of Jazz,“ including jazz, R&B, gypsy, Latin, and more. Registration opens June 26.
• July 24 | The Art of Improvisation
  The Jazz All-Stars with Jamie Tremps, vocals, Jack Berry, bass, Jayden Titus, trumpet, Ruffus Silva, keyboard, Henley Connor III, drums, Emmanuel Montalvo, saxophone and Akiem Esdaile on guitar. Registration opens July 10.
• August 8 | A Jazz Journey
  “Water is My Song: A Jazz Journey”, by jazz star Synia Carroll Trio. Original songs from Synia’s new CD, ‘Water is My Song’ and classics by top female jazz vocalists. Registration opens July 24.
• August 21 | Barbara Jordan Swings the Classics
  Jazz great Barbara Jordan sings classic jazz tunes with her quartet. Registration opens August 7.
• August 28 | Tamas Nagy Trio
  The Tamas Nagy Trio is back by popular demand with ‘European Folk Roots of Jazz’, a musical journal of his trek from Hungary to America. Registration opens August 8.

July 17 | 4 p.m. | Astralis Ensemble Concert: Pathways
Award-winning musicians, Angela Massey (flute) and Caroline Owen (piano), present “Pathways” taking the audience on a journey through music covering different styles and origins. The concert will include music by composers from Mexico, France, and the US while sharing with the audience about the inspiration behind these compositions. Join us for an exploration of music with members of the Astralis Chamber Ensemble. Registration required.
